Hi Bill,Yes have seen the advert and have been in touch with the owner and he sent me some photo's. the plane is compleatly dismanteled down to the last nut and bolt even the engine is compleatly stripped and in bits, thought that £4 1/2 grand a bit steep. Peter

Is that the ad with the picture of the engine running?

Sounds a bit sharp if the picture indicates it's built and runnable but the reality is it's in bits. I wondered why it hadn't been snapped up after the first advert appeared.

If all the bits are serviceable and the coverings are intact then it might still be a reasonable buy. However, you'd have to know Turbulents well and go though the condition of every bit to ensure it's really complete and that somebody hasn't been through it all swapping out all the good stuff for tired bits (crank, cases, engine mount, instruments, flying surfaces, etc, etc, etc).

My policy is only pay scrap value for anything that's dismantled, especially engines, as it's highly likely to be just that - scrap.
