Every weekend when the sun shines, thousands of innocent folks go out and pursue their interests. Some go fishing, some take to the water and others take their classic cars for a spin, or motorcycles etc etc. I choose to fly my aeroplane for the same legitimate recreational reasons.
So, when the Peelers decide to stop and question all those other folks... I wonder what the reaction will be? I don't see a difference, so why is aviation singled out ?
This country is sleep walking into totalitarianism.

I've read the sad story of the incarceration of M Kirk. What saddens me the most is that many on there are dismissive of him, judging the matter on their personal view of the individual, rather than considering the real issues that are exposed.

Yes indeed. When the weather is really clear I like to fly high over the Preceli hills, doing gentle circles in the uncontrolled air, and enjoying the fabulous view. All seems well in the World for a while, but then comes descent and back to a reality that increasingly worries me. This is a forum for light aviation, which for many of us it is a happy escape from the disturbing politics and erosion of our freedoms that is happening out there. I wonder how much longer we will be able to enjoy our innocence.
