A colleague has found it not possible to get access to the Air Met service on 09063 800 400 plus the airfield code.
Any reason why this appears to be dead or has it moved?
Any other ways of getting local weather at airports?

My understanding is that the Telephone Airmet service was being withdrawn at the end of October this year as it was hardly being used. It doesn't seem to be mentioned in the 2009 edition of GetMet which can be downloaded via the following link :
http://www.metoffice.com/aviation/services/getmet.html
Page 25 of GetMet does, however, give a list of the phone numbers for all the telephone ATIS services provided by airports in the UK.
Hope that might help.
