Common Sense

Post by Mike Fawdrey »

Well said Welshman absolutely so.
I guess if it was one of us mere mortals we would be inside PDQ.
In my local paper today a Speeding Policeman doing 94 mph who killed a teenage girl was subsequently jailed for 3 years, he is being given the freedom to '' be with his family at Christmas''
The family of the dead girl wont have her home for Christmas

If I want to read this sort of stuff, I'll exercise my right to buy the Daily Mail...

Ron, Your last post was both relevant (i.e. about aviation) and interesting. Can you get a copy of the photo to post here?
The earlier posts... well, the policeman you mentioned was given a heavier punishment than the sentencing guidelines suggest; perhaps the court was reflecting that someone in his position has greater responsibility http://www.sentencing-guidelines.gov.uk ... update.pdf (page 131). So no them and us here. If the appeal outcome doesn't get reported, that's a matter of journalism not justice.
Have a good Christmas!

This forum is entitled hangar chat. The original post on this thread is wholly inappropriate. Is this bulletin board moderated at all?

That's true enough I suppose, this BB is pretty dead. Perhaps there should be a dedicated Topic, I don't know titled something like "Grumpy old farts who want to rant and vent their spleen" I would probably be it's most prolific contributor though!

Happy Christmas All

The answer is yes even when he is enjoying a Christmas break with family in the warmth of the south of Spain.

I saw no harm in allowing the original post to remain.

I'll second that (all of it).

I am so glad to be home after the week from hell....

Merry Christmas and happy flying to all.
