I'm aware that this is probably a 'How long is a piece of string...' question, but we put a MOD 3 for the fitting of a crankcase oil breather on our Emeraude. The MOD 2 form elicited a pleasant letter from FD within a few days, saying he envisaged no problems, and so we submitted the MOD 3. That was 4 weeks ago - apart from an email acknowledgement, nothing.
Days? Weeks? Months?
How long would be average if everything is in order? The mod has been done on Jodels with C90's, but not Emeraudes, hence the need for the MOD 3.
Give them a quick call and ask! In my experience, if the mod form contains all the required info you will get a go very quickly, but Engineering are changing to a “repeat mod” system and are recatagorizing some mods, which may have overloaded the system.
My experience has been several years on average Final approval arrived after many letters simply asking about progress. I think some types are considered more common and they tend to get done first? Either way it coould take a while.
