Possible Demise of Enstone Airfield

Post by Hugh Thompson » Sun Jun 05, 2011 7:57 pm

I am surprised that so little has appeared about the serious threat to yet another existing airfield. Planning authorities should realise that once an airfield is closed and built on, it is gone forever.

Can the LAA, BMAA, AOPA, CAA BGA etc etc put pressure on government to prevent the loss of any more GA airfields. The owners of private airfields should be encouraged to develop their aviation potential along with other industrial uses.

It may be too late for individual members to write but details can be found on the West Oxfordshire Local Authority Website. I have written an objection letter which has been acknowledged by the planning department.

Thank you all.

It's been posted before http://www.lightaircraftassociation.co. ... php?t=2873

The dead line has passed. In fact the planning meeting is today, June 6th. D Day for Enstone  There will be a representation from at least one of the flying clubs. I beleve all the objectors have just 3 minutes to make their case. That's 3 minutes total, not each.
