Homebuilt Article

Post by Mike Freeman » Mon Mar 12, 2012 2:04 pm

My name is Mike Freeman, I am a pilot myself and I hope to one day build my own aircraft

I am also currently doing a course in Journalism and am working on an article about homebuilt aircraft in the UK. I would really like to visit some people that are building or have built their own aircraft and ask some questions, get photos etc. Ideally I would like a range of types such as wood, composite, aluminum, and part built as well as flying examples.

Would anyone be interested in letting me visit them and get some quotes/photos? I fly from WW and that is my local airfield but I am willing to travel.

Regards

Mike Freeman

Might be worth looking up Royal Berks Strut contacts on the strut noticeboard at white Waltham, as well as posting here? I'm afraid my build projects are too early-stage to be worth you visiting.

My machine is in bits for its permit so if you want some pics you are welcome. It is at a strip in the midlands – MCR01 Composite. PM me if you want to visit.

Mike has been given details of four builders at White Waltham who cover four types of construction (tupper, tin, tube, and timber). The Royal Berks Strut will be very pleased to help him.
