In need of a towbar...

Hello everyone, I am new to the LAA and the proud owner of a 1946 Auster.

I have rapidly come to the conclusion that no hangar/parking maneuvering on one's own can be satisfactorily achieved without the help of a towbar. I am thinking of acquiring a "Bogert" tailwheel bar and am wondering whether these (or similar) are available in the UK, rather than having to make a direct import from the US (the Spruce company, comes to mind.)
Any advice on this matter is greatly appreciated.

I made my own hand-pull towbar very cheaply. Recently Aldi had a special offer for a furniture moving trolley (wooden) about 18" x 3 ft with strong castors at each corner. I measured my tailwheel and then cut a slot at the centre of the board. I had a 4 ft piece of tube, flattened one end and drilled a hole for a bolt through the flattened section and the board. A bicycle grip on the other end of the tube, and job done. I can (solo) lift the tailwheel onto the board & slot.

The device enables me (solo) to pull the Jodel backwards into the parking slot on a flat concrete floor. It wouldn't do on grass. Total cost 15 quid.
