My new aircraft has one of these, not presently coupled to the GPS, but it would just need the 'right' cable.
Anyone with operating experience of this unit got any general feedback or views on it being 'coupled'?

Unless you are lucky enough to have a coupler built in to your Navaid AP1 Autopilot , you need a Smart coupler to convert the digital output data stream from the GPS into an analogue voltage format that the AP1 can use.

Some time ago, an American replaced his Navaid with a beta Trio EZ-Pilot autopilot and said it was a much better item.

Also, a flyer in Holland has recently fitted an EZ-Pilot to his ARV Super2 and reports good results. See: http://groups.google.com/group/flyarv/b ... 6e9e032d68
