Posted in time for 17:30 collection; received 12:28 the next day. Any advance on that?

This was amazing - less than 24hrs!
Test flight in the morning - mailed the renewal application in the 1600 collection - new validation by email 1430 the next day - 221/2 hr turnaround!

Oh for the good old days…. Thought I’d beat the system by allow more time for the renewal… with a new system you always get hiccups/delays …… didn’t allow enough though! Aircraft now out of permit. :(

What is current expectation of turnaround time for a correctly submitted PtF revalidation?

7 days with the new efficient system....
This was just last week. I left one number off the flight review form which probably added one day. This was quickly communicated in each direction and was taken care of with no drama.

Permit renewal turnarounds seem to be about 7-10 working days, assuming there are no queries..

I posted my permit last week via email and have had no acknowledgement of reciept yet. Is this normal?
I paid via webshop and have a reciept for that.

Mine took 5 working days. Sent by email 13:02 on 26 July (automatic acknowledgement) and received 08:59 on 2 August.

The permit renewal only appeared in My Aircraft on the website on 1 August. Application Received, A/W Report Received and Payment Received were all marked Checked: Y, but there was no indication if they were found correct, until the permit arrived next day. :)

David,

You should receive an automated reply back from the LAA within a few minutes of you sending.
Something like this (below)

Tony

Thank you for your email.

Please note that this is an automated response and is meant purely to confirm receipt of your correspondence.

Should your email require a response we aim to respond to email enquiries within 5 working days, however complex enquiries will be referred to our engineers, who will endeavour to respond within 10 working days.
Mod and repair applications will be replied to separately with the allocated number and details of the procedure.
Permit to Fly revalidation applications will be logged onto the system and dealt with as soon as possible. The applicant will be contacted directly if there are any issues with the application once it has been reviewed.

Don't forget that you can view the status of your Permit to Fly revalidation, mod or repair application by logging into the website and clicking on 'my aircraft data'.
